As a Product Designer, you will simplify complex technical and business problems into seamless, intuitive product experiences from discovery to delivery. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and the design team to balance user experience, product quality, and technicality in the agile product development life cycle. In addition, your expertise in design systems will be instrumental in shaping and maintaining cohesive experiences across various streams of our products. Reporting to the Product Design Lead, this is a fully remote, high-impact role with ample opportunities to grow and shape the future of Helika products. Key Responsibilities:Champion the user experience and design execution of various product features from discovery to delivery.Partner cross-functionally with design, product management, engineering, and other key stakeholders to drive projects forward.Design, collaborate, and iterate on various design artifacts, including but not limited to user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and documentation.Contribute to evolving a design system, ensuring consistency and scalability over time.Contribute to startup culture and the small design team by actively participating in team rituals, fostering collaboration, and bringing accountability and autonomy for fast, effective delivery to the team.Requirements:Previous experience in a Product Designer role, ideally in a startup environment, with a strong portfolio and case studies that showcase your design skills and thought process.Expertise in designing interfaces for intricate web and mobile software applications, such as analytics, marketing tech, developer tools, content management, or robust consumer products.Strong understanding of user experience principles and the ability to seek and understand the “why” behind requirements and translate them into simple, effective design solutions cohesively across different areas.Excellent communication skills with the ability to present designs with clear rationale in verbal and written formats, create cross-functional alignment, push for clarity by asking good questions—and seek help when necessary.Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, embracing ambiguity, excelling at iterative improvements, and demonstrating adaptability with low ego.Proficiency in industry-standard design tools, such as Figma, Figjam, and other project management and documentation tools. Experience with gaming and Web3/dApps an asset.Why Join Helika?The Most Powerful Partner in Gaming: Empowering the Gaming Universe with Cutting-Edge Insights and Next-Level AI Optimization.At Helika, our mission is to revolutionize the gaming industry by providing unparalleled analytics, game management infrastructure, and AI-driven optimization solutions. We are seeking a Content Strategist Team Lead to join our Editorial team. Tasks Design thoughtful, beautiful, and useful user interfaces and experiences in a team environment. Conduct usability tests, contextual inquiries, focus groups, surveys, and other qualitative and quantitative user research studies to gain a better understanding of our users and identify opportunities to improve the user experience. Identify, synthesize, and translate findings into insights and communicate recommendations to leadership to influence product improvements. Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings. Use business requirements and user and market research to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements. Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, click-throughs, and prototypes. Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns. Help with building design processes (with the prospect of growth into a design lead). Train and assist more junior team members. Requirements It’s a perfect match if you have: Visual design expertise demonstrated through mock-ups and style guides; Experience with design, wire-framing, and prototyping tools; Excellent communication, and presentation skills; Ability to extract complex concepts and quickly turn around rigorous flows and mock-ups reflecting a range of options; Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently; Ability to proficiently present design solutions to stakeholders in design, product management, and engineering. You’ll need to have: A portfolio showcasing a high level of craft with a strong foundation in visual and interaction design; Strong skills in Figma and prototyping tools; Knowledge of tools like Miro, Jira, and Survey Tools; Experience working and maintaining a UI Kit; Performing user research activities, including planning research, recruiting participants, moderating, synthesizing research results, creating reports, and presenting results; Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including usability testing, contextual inquiries, card sorts, journey maps, surveys, persona development, task analysis, etc.; Fluent in English (written and verbal); An online portfolio or work samples is required; A growing ability to articulate design decisions with grace, logic and data; Strong communication and collaboration abilities; 3-5 years of experience in UI and UX design, service design or equivalent experience in a related field.
