The Role: We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer for one of our clients. You are a perfect candidate if you are growth-oriented, you love what you do, and you enjoy working on new ideas to develop exciting products. What we’re looking for: 5+ years of professional experience in Business Intelligence development or data engineering roles. Expertise in designing and building solutions using Microsoft Power BI. Proven track record of working with large datasets and complex SQL queries. Proficiency in SQL, including advanced query writing, stored procedures, and performance tuning. Strong experience with data modeling, Power Query, DAX, and Power BI service administration. Familiarity with database platforms like SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, or PostgreSQL. Experience with ETL tools and processes (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar). Knowledge of data warehouse design principles (e.g., star schema, dimensional modeling). Nice-to-have skills: Experience with Azure data tools (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics). Familiarity with version control tools like Git. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python for data processing. Microsoft certifications in Power BI or SQL Server. Responsibilities:   Design and build interactive dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI to meet business requirements. Implement data modeling, calculated columns, and DAX measures for optimized reporting solutions. Develop scalable, reusable Power BI templates and reports for enterprise-wide use. Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for ETL processes and data manipulation. Design and maintain efficient data pipelines and workflows to integrate, clean, and transform data from multiple sources. Optimize database queries and ensure high performance in large datasets. Design and implement data warehouse solutions and schemas to support BI requirements. Integrate data from diverse sources such as relational databases, cloud-based platforms, APIs, and flat files. Collaborate with the data engineering team to design and enhance ETL workflows. Monitor and optimize the performance of Power BI reports and underlying data models. Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in SQL queries and BI tools.
